North Carolina has so many beautiful locations to host your wedding event. I wanted to take a moment to let you know about a few venues on my bucket list of places to shoot. My creative juices are overflowing! As a true to color and editorial wedding photographer, I find that these three places aline so nicely with my style.
The Finch House is a historic home built on 1.5 acres of land. The mansion is a beautiful backdrop for the best day of your life and it is decorated with beautiful vintage furniture and art. The area surrounding the home is lush with green landscape that adds a pop of color to any photos! The getting ready spaces are spacious and there are so many rooms to explore. The reception tent is an elegant place to end the evening of your wedding day. I would love to be invited to shoot a wedding here.

The Rose Hill Estate offers many amenities for your wedding experience. It can accommodate 245 guests for those wanting a big wedding. There are many different ceremony backdrops to choose from. My favorites being the Manor House and The Swan Gazebo. The Rose Hill Estate also offers lodging options for the convenience of family or guests. The most unique thing that this venue provides is a sporting clays shooting range. I can only imaging groom and groomsmen would love to spend time out there the morning of the wedding before getting ready. Those would be some fun photos!

The Secret Garden and Estates venue is a dreamy all-inclusive wedding venue that makes you feel like you stepped into a real life fairy tale. They have amazing reviews for a wonderful experience provided to bride, groom, and guests. This space is European inspired and feels like you’ve just stepped into the French Countryside. From the large pillars to robust staircases, this venue is sure to be a wow factor for your day. I would love to tag along and create art through your wedding photos.
As a wedding photographer, I spend a lot of time looking at venues through a different lens. I’m paying attention to the architecture, the way light moves through a space, the variety of backdrops, and whether a location gives couples room to slow down and actually enjoy their day.
Each of these North Carolina wedding venues offers something completely different, but they all have one thing in common. They create opportunities for meaningful, beautiful photographs without forcing anything to feel staged.
Whether you’re planning a wedding in North Carolina or searching for the perfect destination wedding venue, I hope this list gives you a little inspiration.
I’d love to hear more about your venue, your vision, and the details you’re dreaming up for your day. If one of these locations caught your eye, let’s chat.
